ADVANCING LEADERSHIP AND EXCELLENCE
At GAWHE, our programs are designed to empower and celebrate women in higher education. Our Conference brings members together for meaningful connection, professional growth, and inspiration. Through Leadership Development, including the signature Fellows Program, participants gain mentorship, executive coaching, and opportunities to strengthen their leadership capacity. We provide Scholarships to support educational and career advancement, while our Fundraising efforts sustain the resources needed for scholarships, events, and professional development. We also recognize excellence through Honorary Memberships and Awards, and our Sponsorships create opportunities for community and institutional partners to invest in advancing women’s leadership. Together, these programs reflect our commitment to growth, recognition, and building a strong network across Georgia’s colleges and universities.
CONFERENCE
The GAWHE Annual Conference is the cornerstone event that brings women in higher education together from across Georgia. Designed to inspire, connect, and empower, the conference features dynamic speakers, engaging workshops, and opportunities for networking and collaboration. It serves as a space to celebrate achievements, share best practices, and strengthen leadership skills while building meaningful connections within the GAWHE community.
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
The Leadership Development builds leadership capacity across higher education, offering growth, connection, and professional development opportunities. Its signature initiative, the Fellows Program, is a selective nine-month cohort experience that combines executive coaching, mentorship, and collaborative learning. Fellows leave the program with the skills, confidence, and network to lead with vision and impact.
