Our Leadership
Meet Our Leader
At the helm of GAWHE, Dr. Stanford leads with vision, heart and a commitment to advancing opportunities for women across Georgia’s higher education landscape. Her leadership is rooted in service, strategic innovation, and a passion for impactful programming that uplifts the next generation of academic leaders.
ACE Women’s Network of Georgia
GAWHE proudly serves as the state affiliate for the American Council on Education (ACE) Women’s Network, a national system of interconnected networks within each state, Puerto Rico, and the District of Columbia. ACE is the major coordinating body for U.S. higher education institutions, representing over 1,700 college and university presidents and executives.
As part of this powerful alliance, we promote women’s advancement in higher education through professional development, mentorship, and leadership opportunities—amplifying our impact across Georgia and beyond.
Institutional Representatives Needed
Institutional Representatives serve as the vital link between their college or university and GAWHE. Each representative acts as the primary point of contact for the ACE Women’s Network and supports communication, coordination, and engagement efforts on their campus.
These leaders help promote opportunities for professional development, mentorship, and leadership advancement, while also ensuring their institution stays connected to the broader mission of empowering women in higher education across Georgia.
