ACE Women’s Network: Institutional Representatives (IRs)

GAWHE is proud to be part of the ACE Women’s Network and is building a strong statewide network of Institutional Representatives (IRs). IRs play a vital role in extending GAWHE’s mission across Georgia’s campuses by serving as advocates, connectors, and champions for women in higher education.

What IRs Do:

  • Promote GAWHE ACE Women’s Network initiatives at their institution or campus.
  • Encourage colleagues to join the network and participate in the annual GAWHE conference.
  • Host at least one on-campus event each academic year such as a lunch & learn or coffee & conversation hour.
  • Collaborate with neighboring IRs to organize at least one area-wide event each year.

The ultimate goal is to have an IR representing every institution of higher education in Georgia, with additional IRs for campuses within multi-campus systems. This network creates a powerful framework to expand GAWHE’s reach, ensuring more women in higher education are supported, connected, and empowered.
